My God........I am really bloody angry right now!
For the best part of six months a nice German company has been toying with the idea of installing a solar panel park in the village where I live; capable of generating thirteen megawatts of electricity in a totally non-obtrusive way. It is so unobtrusive that even the existing sheep can have a wander underneath the solar panels and carry on with their grazing. Happy days? Not so!
The nice German company has now withdrawn their application because of the objections of a few doddery old twats whose contribution to the community is negligibile at the best of times who feel that a non-obtrusive solar panel park might present a large alien feature within the landscape.
But five miles away as the crow used to fly before the bloody wind turbines started springing up all over the bloody place a similar bunch of doddery old twats have now granted permission for three more of the wind-powered monstrosities; each generating only enough electricity to power the farmhouses of the three farms upon whose land they will stand. Sometimes I really bloody despair!
